YTP doesn't load jQuery by default, when you need it, you have to enable it manually.
Lately I prefer not to use jQuery, to keep the site smaller and faster. Also when some of our sites had IT vulnerability tests, we always had warnings about jQuery versions (for Joomla 3)
JP CE Slideshow Pro uses very little jQuery, what do you think about moving to vanilla js and drop jQuery dependency?
