Add media to Pinterest share

Hello guys

We added a Pinterest share button to our page and noticed that the shared content does not include an image.

I checked Pinterest's documentation and found that the share link can include a media parameter:
developers.pinterest.com/docs/web-featur...s/#round-save-button

What do you think? Is it possible to add $metaimage as the media parameter?

I haven't checked other services yet.

Additionally, I noticed that $metaimage contains URLs like:
www.my-domain.com/images/imagename.jpg#j...dth=2970&height=5280
Is it okay having local-images in it?
