We use Breakdesigns.com's Custom Filters Pro to filter products by custom fields. The filter module also provides options to filter by categories, manufacturers, price, etc., and it also has a text filter option.
Additionally, com_customfilters requires its own menu item.
When I search for a keyword using the CF module, I can further filter the search results because I get the corresponding filters. However, this is not the case when I use VirtueMart's own search function.
Could you please add an option to select which search system we want to use? Either VirtueMart's search (option=com_virtuemart&keyword=something) or the filter's search (option=com_virtuemart&q=something).
If I'm correct, this would involve just modifying the form action and the hidden variables within it, and renaming the input field's name.
