Extend product sources with custom logic

Hi,

I can build a lot of things using VMuikitX, but sometimes I need a set of products as source that are not available by default. Some examples:

• List products that have the same value for a specific custom field. For example, if the custom field is 'color', on the product page, I want to list all other products that have the same color as the product I am viewing.
• List the latest viewed products.
• List the products that are purchased together with the currently viewed product.
• List all products with a discount.
• Etc., etc.

I was wondering, is there a way to extend VMuikitX sources somehow? I want to have the same structure—a list of product objects—as other VMuikitX components, but with my own fetching logic. I usually need this for the product details page, so I also need the ID of the currently viewed product.

I know I can build a very custom source, but I was wondering if VMuikitX itself might be extendable somehow.

Any thoughts about this?

We checked your suggestion. it seems it will take much time for us to develop those features.

if you are developing, i can give some tips that you can create a plugin to store purchased together products and latest viewed products, you can also create object for source listener in same plugin to list all custom fields inside builder. so you can sort them in frond end through same plugin.
